Performance measurement drives strategic understanding
The Strategy and Integration programme launched the CANSO Annual Information Form this year to augment CANSO’s data on industry trends. This initiative, supported by the Members at the 26th AGM, will enhance our understanding of key factors from revenue and facility trends, to gender and diversity issues.
The Strategic Technology Workgroup continued its emerging technologies whitepaper series, adding to our industry’s common understanding of the potential for new technologies to address industry challenges.
A new workgroup focussed on economics and ATS charges received good support and will be a valuable forum for discussion and studies on economic trends and challenges.
Another important decision taken this year was to merge the Global Benchmarking Workgroup with the Operational Performance Workgroup, consolidating and expanding our focus on performance measurement, which remains so essential to ensuring we meet future demands.
The Strategy and Integration programme will lead and contribute to elements of the work plan for the Complete Air Traffic System (CATS) future sky vision, with work on technology, governance, financial and human resources issues spread across its workgroups.
