ATM Traffic Analysis Reports continue to be published every month, giving CANSO Members important information on flight volumes as traffic reaches pre-pandemic levels.

The CANSO Guide to GreenATM Accreditation Programme was launched, giving ANSPs a way to assess their direct environmental impact, as well as their efforts to facilitate the reduction of emissions by airspace users. The launch was supported by a webinar for those interested in finding out more about the scheme.

The Global Air Navigation Services Performance Report (2016-2020) provided analysis on the performance of 52 ANSPs in 2020, capturing the full impact of the global pandemic.

Programmes Highlights
Aligning priorities with global skies vision

Another busy 12 months for CANSO's global programmes sees them re-focus their work in line with the CATS Global Council's vision for the skies of 2045.

The work of CANSO Global Programmes was heavily focussed on the ICAO 41st Assembly in September and October 2022, and aligning the work of our workgroups and task forces with the activities of the CATS Global Council’s future sky vision.

A significant shake up of our workgroups and task forces resulted in some new groups being created, or given expanded mandates, while others were disbanded. The resulting structure is delivering renewed focus on our industry’s priorities and the issues that are essential to shaping our collective future.

New partnerships announced during the year will increase CANSO’s focus on training that delivers benefits for Members and capacity issues as industry recovery reached pre-pandemic levels.

The launch of the new GreenATM environmental accreditation programme was a major activity last year that nicely aligned with our industry-wide efforts in support of an ambitious ICAO long term aspirational goal for carbon reduction.

If you are not yet part of one of CANSO’s global workgroups, join your colleagues and benefit from industry-wide collaboration on the issues that matter most.

CANSO’s Global Programmes remain firmly focussed on the challenges of today and the opportunities of the future.
