Using data to drive our strategies
The Strategy and Integration programme undertook a survey of ANSP Members on personnel and financial impacts from the pandemic traffic downturn that provided valuable information used to highlight the unique impacts of the pandemic on ATM. Data such as this is critical in the programme’s ongoing work.
The data collected by the Human Resources Workgroup and the Global Benchmarking workgroup continue to provide benefits to Members, and to strengthen CANSO’s ability to represent its Members by providing key insights into important areas.
The Operational Training Task Force, which was newly created last year, has proven to be a vibrant platform for information sharing among training organisations, both with respect to the challenges of today such as best practices in remote training and skills retention, and expected training trends in the future.
The work of the Strategic Technology Workgroup has proven to be an extremely relevant examination of emerging technologies, their maturity, potential use cases and important considerations for their deployment.

Three final webinars in the Safely Navigating the Industry Recovery webinar series were held, looking at training and skills retention, human factors issues, and change management. The series was produced in partnership with IATA, IFATCA and IFALPA.
The Operational Training Task Force held a webinar to share lessons learned from operational training during the pandemic, including use of remote training technologies.
The Human Resources workgroup distributed the latest ATCO Remuneration and HR Metrics Report to all participating Members.
